Hot

Monday, July 25th, 2005

Ok, I think I am going to go back to Utah. Sunday was a touch warm and humid. You know it is going to be a bad day when you leave for church at 6:30am and it is already 80 out. At least in Provo when the temp was 103 it didn’t feel so bad (no humidity). At least the forecast for this week has the temps getting cooler (I just hope they are right for once).

Homeward bound (soon)

Last day of the TTP conference. A bit tired this morning. A group of us went to help Gary Porter go image the workstations for our training session this morning. Gary didn’t get in town until 11:30pm - got things done a bit after 1am.

The conference has been good. Lots and lots of notes taken (semi-official note taker for the week), so now I will have to go through them and clean them up to make available for everyone else that was here. Posted a few more pictures from the conference as well. Pictures from other people are here.

Geeks + cowboys equals

Thursday, July 21st, 2005

Well, what can I say. Novell took us out to “cowboy village” for dinner tonight. One of the activities for us was getting what ever numbers branded into wood. Taking my suggestion, someone DID get an IP address done (loopback address). Mike did 31337 (haxor speak). Other pictures from the event are here

Holy molyrockie - that’s a hole

Friday, July 1st, 2005

It has been very dry out, so the lawn hasn’t grown much (or should I say, its mostly dead). Got around to mowing the bits that did grow. Got to the back yard and found a nice surprise (well, ok - not really nice).

Big hole

Some critter decided to dig me a large hole. It is about 12 inches across and another 12 inches deep at the back side of it. Grrr. Of course I couldn’t scrape up enough dirt off the grass to fill it in. Guess I need to go get some more dirt this weekend.

Oh, the picture is taken with the latest toy that I just got today. Upgraded my cell phone. Picked up a
Motorola RAZR V3 Black
phone. Its really cool. I haven’t had much time to play around or customize it yet, but at least I have a long holiday weekend to do that. :)
